Buddy’s Cajun Spice was born from a deep love of cooking, rooted in family tradition and a passion for bold Louisiana flavors. What began in a family kitchen, with recipes passed down through generations, has grown into a beloved brand known for its distinctive Cajun flair and healthier seasoning options.
The original blend was created for local jambalaya cook-offs, where it quickly developed a reputation for setting dishes apart. Friends, family, and even strangers who tasted the spice couldn’t quite put their finger on what made it so good—just that it was something special. With time, what started as a secret ingredient for competition cooking became something much bigger.
Since its debut in 2010 with the Original Cajun Seasoning in the iconic Yellow Can, Buddy’s has expanded its line to include “Beaucoup” Garlic Cajun Spice, “Mo Peppa” Cajun Spice, Salt-Free Cajun Spice, Cajun Chili Mix, “Down da Bayou” Gumbo Mix (Gluten Free), and the “Down da Bayou” Gumbo-Laya Mix—a bold, kicked-up take on classic jambalaya.
Buddy’s Cajun Spice is proudly low in sodium, contains no MSG, and is crafted with care for those who want flavor without compromise. What started as one man’s passion has become a family of products enjoyed by home cooks, chefs, and event organizers alike—especially in support of good causes and community gatherings.
